A walk-off three-run blast from Eric Williams brought home the winning run for the Trinidad Triggers (36-15) in a 6-3 victory over the Garden City Wind in 10 innings at Central Park on Monday.
Williams rocked the Garden City Wind (12-37) with two home runs. Williams went 2-4 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Williams homered in the sixth and tenth innings.
Kyle Young improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Trinidad Triggers. He allowed three runs over five innings. Young struck out three, walked one and gave up seven hits.
Zack Russell-Myers was charged with his seventh loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out nine, and allowed three runs.
