An exceptional effort by Caleb Bryson hoisted the Trinidad Triggers (18-7) to a 15-2 win over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (10-15) on Monday at Central Park.
Bryson blasted two home runs for the Trinidad Triggers. Bryson went 3-4 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Bryson homered in the first, third, and eighth innings.
The Trinidad Triggers ran up the score, scoring runs at will until the final out. The Trinidad Triggers scored six runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. The Trinidad Triggers scored six runs in the eighth on the Trinidad Triggers scored in the eighth on a home run by Shane Casey, a solo home run by Bryson, and an error.
Christian Schneider picked up the win for the Trinidad Triggers. Schneider pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out four.
Tyler Shannon was hot from the plate for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. Shannon went 2-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth innings.
Kyer Vega (1-1) took the loss for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
